The Christian Life.

The Christian Life. (:
do you live like a christian? or do you say your a christian and live like a life of sin?
do you live like someone who's real home is in heaven not down here on earth? One day we will all stand before the lord. If you accepted him into your heart God will welcome you with open arms into his kingdom. You will still have to answer for the things you have done down on earth. The fact that Christ died for us all doesn't get us all a free ride to do whatever we want down here and then expect to get into heaven just because he died for you. He died for you so why not live for him? (: You were saved for a purpose to worship and honor God. I remember the day I got saved that is one day i will NEVER forget, Good memories. (: Well, don't waste the gift that God gave you if you use it for anything other then serving, loving, worshiping or honoring him then it's pointless! Some people could just get saved one day and nothing changes but that one day you feel like a brand new person then you go back living the way you did before. I am most definitely not saying I am a perfect christian but I strive to be the best I can be. When i got saved I was young I was actually seven to be exact. My parents my brother and I were sitting in the living room talking about what being a christian really is and how you can do this. Me and my brother both got saved that night. One night that I will never forget. I felt really great about it being like a whole new person. I got older and nothing much had changed. I went to church every Wednesday and Sunday but I wasn't growing any. So when i was twelve i recommitted and I tried much harder to have a better relationship with God, reading my bible, doing devotionals and praying lots. You would be surprised how much it can change a persons life..

Commitment..

Imagine that you are out for your first skydiving lesson. Your instructor demands that you must follow orders quickly and completely for everyones safety. Once you're given the signal to jump from the plane you have one split second to jump from the plane because everyone has to jump at the same altitude. As the airplane circles higher and higher you start to obsess, Can i do this? Will my chute open? Will i survive? Jumping from the known safety of the plane requires all out commitment. You can't go half way; you have to risk all and go for it or stay where you are comfortably unchallenged. God instructed the Israelites to make a total commitment using his parachute to jump into the unknown of the following his will and leave behind the comfortable sins and addictions. At first they were afraid. They weren't sure they wanted to put their lives in his hands should they risk and jump or stay in the plane where they weren't free but felt safer? This is one decision you don't have to stress about the chute God himself packed for you is guaranteed to open. Commit everything about your life, future, desires, passions, dreams, friends, goals and word to god and he will free you from your enemies. He'll safely bring you into his great big plans that you never thought were possible!

1 Samuel 7:3
Samuel spoke to the whole group of Israel saying "if you're turning back to the lord with all your hearts you must remove your foreign gods and idols of ashtorthe you must give yourselves fully to the lord and serve only him then he will save you from the philistines."

I came across this in my bible and i thought it was really cool. (:
